Tone Holmen is a Norwegian artist whose work is dealing with climate change, maps, geography and landscape.

Her work is influenced by experiences of the landscape where she grew up. Huge solely landscapes seen from mountain peaks are transformed into paintings with an atmospheric approach to the climate change and the melting glaciers. The landscapes do not have figures in them, they are there for you to explore by yourself.

The drawings are coastlines drawn from maps or contours of glaciers that disappears.

The polar bear-sculptures and flamingos are made by re-using materials; mainly used plastic carrier bags and the peacock is made from cd's etc.
